Pelican Consulting is owned and operated by Alison Conroy in Prince George, British Columbia.  Alison holds a Master of   Engineering degree from the University of Northern British   Columbia.

Alison has been working in the field of residential energy   efficiency since first obtaining her Energy Advisor designation   from NRCan in 2011.  Initially working with existing homeowners to help them realize energy efficiency savings, she expanded her experience and education in the field while working in the lower mainland.  There she began working with residential developers and builders seeking accredited designations on both single family and multi-family projects, including Passive House, Built Green Canada and LEED for Homes.  She has performed over five hundred air leakage tests in both residential and commercial settings, including remote mining sites within the province.  Since completing her Master of Engineering in 2017, Alison has focused her experience and education on building envelope design, occupant health and comfort and energy efficiency consultation and modeling.

Alison has continued to pursue her passion for building science and began her PhD in 2018 at the University of Northern British Columbia.  She has presented at several professional and academic events and worked as a building science educator since 2018. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying the trails, snow, dirt and sunshine with her daughter, husband and dog.
